We met Patrick while we were planning on building a home. He was our intended builder’s agent at the time. We decided not to build, but asked Patrick to sell the home we were living in at the time and assist us with buying our next home. We chose to do this, because in a very short time he proved to be knowledgeable and easy to work with.
We were able to sell our home within 5 months of signing with Howells & Company. Patrick took excellent pictures of our home and beautifully presented it with his personalized online tour. The agent representing the buyer on our house even commented how professional and nice it was to work with Patrick.
In many ways Patrick was great to work with. He provided us a detailed analysis of the current market. He was not pushy at anytime during the sale and purchase of our next home. He had great contacts that allowed us to close in a timely manner. Most importantly, his advice was truly in our best interest.
Before we had even finalized the sale of our home, we had referred Patrick’s service to our friends and family, and continue to do so. Time and time again we would be impressed by Patrick’s up-to-date knowledge of real state legislation. We would highly recommend him to anyone interested in buying or selling a home, or even someone looking for an expert to ask any real estate question. Concerning Salt Lake City area realtors:
Let me just start out by saying that I’ve had more experience with realtors in this town than I ever hoped for. I recently moved here from Texas, leaving behind what I hoped was all of the incompetent realtors I’d ever have to deal with. Then I get here. I started out looking for houses with my son for him and his family, and we quickly realized that all of the goofy realtors don’t live in Texas. He did find a house, doing most of the searching and legwork himself, and not really getting any valuable assistance from his realtor.
When I began looking for a house, I happened upon a house listed by Patrick Howells and gave him a call. I must admit that I might not have been as cordial as I could have, but after all, I was preparing for “battle”, so I thought. Patrick let me rattle on a bit and then simply said that he would like to help me find a house, and that if I didn’t feel that he had earned his keep (my words, not his), that he would not hold me to any obligation to use him or his services.
It took us a lot of looking to find a house, as I knew exactly what I wanted (hard to please, some say), and Patrick found it. In all of that looking and dealing with dozens and dozens of realtors, I can say without one speck of hesitation, that Patrick Howells is the only competent realtor I’ve met. He was on the ball every inch of the way, covering every detail of every issue, never missing a step.
I was so pleased with him that my son recently listed that house he got into with the “other” realtor. Pat helped my son realize that his home was worth much more than he first thought, listing it for thousands more than my son expected to get. Only due to his knowledge and expertise in this market, Pat negotiated three simultaneous offers on my son’s house and was able to secure a very good contract for him. Pat also helped my son and his family get into a great house in South Jordan and was very helpful in working through some tough issues with the builder and his realtor.
Pat takes his job seriously, and is darned good at it. I’d put my money on Pat every single time, whether I was buying, or selling.

I first became acquainted with Patrick over twenty-five years ago when his family moved into our neighborhood. I have witnessed his development and growth individually as well as professionally over the past twenty or more years. Over the past five years we have engaged Patrick’s services not only as a real estate agent but also as a consultant on a new development.
Patrick has many positive qualities and characteristics that set him apart from most real estate professionals. Pat’s understanding of the residential real estate market is broad and deep, he has given us very sound advice in the marketing of new construction, high-end homes and the empty nester market. He has a unique ability to communicate his knowledge of the real estate market and will not just tell you what you want to hear, he will stick to his guns. Patrick makes you feel that he is looking out for your best interest and not just a commission. A particular instance speaks volumes about Patrick’s ability to sell real estate and guide a seller through the process; we had him list a home that we priced quite aggressively, not only did he show the home many times at a higher listing price but when we asked him to give us a price that would allow him to have it sold in thirty days or less he was able to get it sold and it was sold for more money than many of us thought possible.
In my opinion, Patrick is a very competent, seasoned real estate professional that is quite capable of handling virtually any residential real estate need.
